Kevin Relapses
From the time that Kevin is just a high school senior and loses his football scholarship due to an injury, he spirals into alcohol addiction, which Jack suffered from as well. And as he gets older, it goes into drug addiction as well. Even after going to rehab, Kevin falls into a relapse, which the actor who plays Kevin, Justin Heartley explains, “I’m not sure that’s [addiction] something you ever beat, I’m pretty sure you don’t, but I think he’s figured out that it’s not something that you can sort of handle on your own. You need people around you and a support system,” hinting that Kevin’s addiction issues are not over as of yet.
