The Trump Princess – Owned by Donald Trump
Donald Trump loves to have his name on most of the expensive things he owns, including the yacht he bought from the Sultan of Brunei – the Nabila. He bought the boat for $29 million in 1988 and renamed it the Trump Princess, and, true to the Trump tradition, had the “H” on its onboard helipad replaced with the traditional “T.” But Trump gave up ownership of the boat in 1991 when he ran into some financial problems. He sold the yacht to Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal for $20 million, which now bears the name Kingdom 5KR.
The yacht is an impressive 282-feet ship which could accommodate 22 guests in 11 cabins. It was manned by 40 crew members. During its Trump Princess days, it had five decks, a 12-seat cinema, a disco, 11 lavish suites, a pool, and a helipad.
During its Nabila days, the ship made an appearance in the James Bond film Never Say Never again, and is said to have been the inspiration for the rock band Queen’s 1989 track “Khashoggi’s Ship.”
