ROUNDING UP SUSPECTS
First and foremost on Otto’s mind is a man named Wilhelm van Maarem. This man was not privy to the secret. He was new to the company and couldn’t have known that they were hidden in the rear annex behind a bookcase. But he was already suspicious. So, he’d set up traps after work. It’s no wonder that Otto suspected him, but with further investigation, there wasn’t enough evidence to corroborate his theory.
