MAKING THE DECISION
Then, Anne’s sister, Margot, received a letter on June 1942. She was required to report for labor transportation back to Germany. This was the last straw. They knew that most of the Jews were being emigrated to concentration camps that were unlivable. With the constant raids and capture, the family was left with no choice but to go into hiding. They thought that this difficult stage in their lives wouldn’t last as long as it did. They were obviously mistaken.
