26. The Sturdivant Hall, Selma, Alabama
The Sturdivant hall mansion was built in 1856 and was bought by John McGee Parkman in 1864. Parkman was imprisoned by the Civil War. He was killed during one of his prison break attempts. When his wife was forced to dispose of the mansion, it began to become notorious for being haunted by the ghost of Parkman. Even when the house was unoccupied, people hear windows and doors being opened and shut. Witnesses have also reported seeing ghosts of two little girls, the identities of which are not known even to this day.
