Assume Everyone Speaks English
The level of English proficiency in Norway is exceptional especially among the younger people. However, do not assume that everyone would be able to understand you when you speak English. For instance, bus drivers are often older and only speak Norwegian. If English is failing you, you make show them a map, a place or a photo of a product on your phone to help in communicating with locals.
