Diagnosis
ALS is difficult to diagnose because it may mimic other neurological diseases, however there are some tests to rule out other conditions:
Nerve conduction study. This study measures your nerves’ ability to send impulses to muscles in different parts of the body. It can determine if you have nerve damage or certain muscle disorders.
