Complications

As the disease progresses and spreads, certain complications are encountered.

Speaking problems. Most people afflicted with ALS will develop trouble speaking over time. Usually it starts as slurring of words but eventually becomes more severe. Most often people with ALS rely on other communication technologies to communicate.
