The Only Silver Lining

Baby M’s mother is still scarred and scared over the events that took place. She also shares how Baby M’s progress has been since being poisoned for the first 4 months of her life saying, “She has trouble talking because of her poor muscle tone from the brain damage.” But aside from the day-to-day difficulties that Baby M lives with, her mom also sees the silver lining. She beams, “She’s always happy. With all the therapy and everything, we’ve been able to teach her and we have to keep teaching her otherwise she’ll lose it.” She continues, “The small things are what are amazing.” And in spite of Allen’s release from prison, the parents of the children that Allen has harmed can only hope and pray that she will never hurt another child ever again.
