You may already know what Colombia is notorious for. The crime rate here is off the charts. Poverty here is extreme and drug trafficking is a perennial problem which many consider as the root cause of the ongoing hostilities in this country.

15. Senegal, Africa

There’s not much to say about the African nation of Senegal. It’s unfortunate that the standard of living here is less than ideal for foreigners and the state of tourism is in shambles. Literacy rate here is extremely low, and security for travelers isn’t as good elsewhere.
