Searching For His Killers
When the San Diego County Police Department began looking into the case, they were led to three suspects, Preston and Austin Mostrong, and girlfriend Hailey Suder. According to the San Diego County Sheriff, Lieutenant Kenneth Nelson, “… I can’t think of another reason other than viciousness. Why else make a special trip down to the river bend?”
The Brothers Had Prior Arrests
No one was surprised to find out that it was the Mostrong brothers who had beaten poor George to a bloody pulp. The siblings already had prior records with the San Diego police a few years back. In 2014, Preston had been found guilty of petty theft, while Austin had pleaded guilty to ‘two counts of battery and resisting an officer,’ both only receiving probation for their crimes at the time.
