Despite all her issues, Kach says that she is grateful that she never got pregnant all those years she was kept in Hose’s clutches. When asked by Dr. Phil, “I assume that you weren’t on birth control?” she replied, “No, I wasn’t. By the grace of God, I didn’t get pregnant. We had a couple of scares where, probably the stress I was under and the sexual abuse, I didn’t have a period, and his reaction to it was, ‘Well, if you don’t get one, and you are pregnant, you’re dead. I will kill you’.”
