Madeleine McCann

Four-year-old Madeleine McCann from Britain went missing while on a holiday with her family in Portugal. Her disappearance sparked a massive international search and also yielded several unconfirmed sightings. In 2011, the child’s case was reviewed, and two years later, the office handling her case believed that Madeleine may still be alive after confirming at least 38 persons of interest.

UK police released a computer-generated image of Madeline in April 2012 showing what she might have looked like that. Since then, more leads have emerged, but none yielded anything substantial that could finally lead to her. No arrests have also ever been made. The case is still open to this day.
