Contaminated Evidence
It had practically been 3 years since the murders, and detectives didn’t have any new clues to go on aside from the evidence left in the cabin. Unfortunately, the evidence that authorities had taken and brought in for testing was contaminated when it got rained on from a leak at the sheriff’s office. To their dismay, it would seem that the case had gone completely cold.
