So How Did North Korea Become Such A Volatile Enemy?
After the separation of North and South Korea in 1945, the Kim Family ended up controlling what became known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Although Kim Il-sung failed at unifying Korea into one single state, he was successful at creating a unified North Korea, as well as creating a dynasty for his family. They slowly grew in power and force, mostly by expanding its military defenses and focusing on the country’s direction into nuclear growth.
