Megalara Garuda
This insect is aptly referred to as the “king of wasps” for good reason. It is unbelievably and frighteningly large. It primarily lives in the Mekongga Mountains in the southeastern part of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The males are about 1.3 inches long, with large, powerful jaws.
