Collins goes on to explain that his life took a complete and total turn once he found Jesus. He says that everything hit rock bottom when illegal drugs were found under his desk by his supervisors and his life as a police officer was over. As he contemplated ending his life, he says “My wife saw the desperation when she came home from work that day and said, ‘I think you need to go talk to a local pastor’.”
