Piecing clues together
Maria was dumped in a well-hidden site. The detectives on the case and the forensic experts wondered why there was no stench. They then concluded that because Maria’s body was wrapped tightly in a blanket and buried underneath logs, then the stench could have been easily masked. Moreover, it took someone knowing the area to easily plan where to hide the body. It all clearly pointed to Brown. Unfortunately, he was dead too, and it was too late to question him.
