Nearly 15,000 emails were uncovered by the F.B.I. during its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information on a private email domain as Secretary of State. This departure from protocol meant that her communications were not automatically archived, and were at risk of being accessed by hackers. She did not face any criminal charges in the original investigation, but the FBI recently found additional evidence pertaining to the scandal when searching Anthony Weiner’s phone for messages to a 15-year-old. Though Hillary’s situation wasn’t a sex scandal, it’s a notorious political moment that is important in today’s political climate.
