Promising He Wouldn’t Do It Again
While Gary was serving his time in prison, he had told reporters, “I won’t do it anymore. I’m definitely done panhandling. Definitely.” But his promises meant nothing. As soon as he was back on the streets, he would continue doing the exact same thing, just in another town.
Going Down To Glasgow
Once he was released from jail, Gary would make his way from Lexington to Glasgow, which was around a 2-hour drive from where he had been originally. And while he was there, he would continue to do exactly what he said he was done with, begging on the streets for money while pretending to be mentally disabled.
