Undergoing Emergency Surgery

While she was in surgery, doctors would discover just how horrible her injuries were. Not only was her skull fractured in two places, but the cuts and lacerations to the rest of her head, neck and back were horrific.

It Took 4 Hours

It would take the medical team four hours to take out the pieces of her skull that had been broken from portions of her brain. Then doctors ended up having to put in a drainage line to remove excess fluids in order to keep the brain from swelling. Then they would go on to place ‘metal plates and screws’ on her skull.
