Aside from the geographic proximity, the significance of China-North Korean relationship can be better appreciated when you look at the angle of China’s relationship with the Asia-Pacific powers, The Diplomat assessed. The two countries seemingly agree at several aspects including their absolute avoidance to pluralism and individualism. The elderly Chinese dance together in unison to avoid any displays of such aspects. China maintains an embassy in the North Korean capital and a consulate in Chongjin while North Korea’s embassy is located in Beijing Chaoyang District.
