Telling Her To Build A Chapel

The ‘young lady’ that appeared to Bernadette would tell her to have ‘a chapel to be built at the nearby cave-grotto at Massabielle.’ This was the same spot that the Lady of Lourdes would appear between February 11 to July 16 of 1858 as well. Millions of people flock to this exact spot yearly to pay homage and pray to both Mama Mary and Saint Bernadette for their petitions.

Canonized In 1933

Bernadette would become canonized on December 8, 1933, the same day that the catholic people celebrate the Immaculate Conception. Her body could even be viewed in the Chapel of Saint Gidard, Nevers, seemingly preserved, until it was returned once again to the location where she herself saw the Virgin Mary.
