Her Hearing Came Back

Sister Sasagawa had a number of medical issues from the time that she was young, but miraculously her hearing returned after years of deafness. She herself also had stigmata, as well as claimed of hearing messages from the statue. And for the next 6 years from the time the Virgin Mary had first wept tears, supposedly there were another 101 different times that the wooden statue shed tears and even had reports of stigmata.

She Wasn’t The Only One

Sister Agnes wasn’t the only one to claim of miracles occurring because of the statue. One particular woman from as far away as North Korea had been cured of brain cancer in 1981, after her family had interceded with the Virgin Mary of Akita on her behalf. The sick woman had even shared that she saw visions of the Virgin Mary herself.
