For Carsten, he also went on to say how he had shot his very first wedding at just 17, and since then, he has never looked back. In fact, he even shares, “I absolutely love what I do and think I couldn’t possibly ask for a better career. Wedding photography for me is the driving force that keeps me moving forward. I know that is kind of a strange thing to say, but really, it’s the honest truth.”

Loving His Life

It’s been a few years shy of a decade since Carsten first began his attempt to shoot professionally, and since then, his life has changed dramatically. He shares that it was taking pictures that brought him to where he is now. He explains, “Photography taught me to see things not for what they are, but what they can be,” and if he hadn’t believed he could one day make a career out of something he loved, then he may not have ever reached the place in his life where he is right now.
