Facing The Judge

The charges brought up against Kenny were ‘aggravated assault and aggravated battery.’ Ashley said, “It’s hard to believe someone would do this to my mom.” And mostly, everyone wanted to know why? What was his purpose? Why did he want to hurt someone who had spent so much time and energy in trying to better his life? It just didn’t make sense.

Trying To Understand

Police were puzzled as to why Kenny would suddenly wake up one day after spending an entire summer and more living in Sandy’s house, and decide that he wanted to hurt her. Authorities needed to know if there was a possible romantic relationship between the two. But there was zero evidence that they were in any kind of relationship aside from Sandy trying to help him out.
