Doing Their Own Digging

Since they weren’t getting the answers they wanted, and needed, from the adoption agency, they decided to do their own investigative research. And what they were going to find out was going to make their hearts hurt. Not only had the kids been taken into foster care because of severe neglect, they also had been physically abused by their dad. But sadly, Beth had endured sexual abuse by her biological father from the time that she was just an infant, until she was 19-months old.

Finding Knives Missing From The Kitchen

And as if that wasn’t troubling enough, Julie began to notice that knives were missing from the kitchen, and she, later on, says that she was actually quite guilty thinking that Beth might have taken them. But then Beth described them to her mother one time in detail, and supposedly Beth gave her a ‘malicious smile’ when asked about them. In that moment, Julie had no doubt that her disturbed adoptive daughter had taken them.
