Who Knows Which Is True?
Despite the different theories, no one has yet to have truly discovered the exact truth. In fact, a study was done in 2008, which suggests that it may have been possible that some animals were there earlier than others. In fact, there was even one kind of snail, the only one in fact, that seemed to have been underground for just 2 million years, and not the full 5.5 million years that the cave has said to be completely sealed off from the rest of the world. Scientists have yet to find out whether that snail may have just been trying to escape the cold of the Ice Age, seeking shelter in the Movile cave by chance.
