Finding The Head

On March 31, a farmer would get a startling discovery. While in his cattle pen in Asfordby, Leicestershire, he would find a viciously decapitated head. And it wasn’t just that it had been severed from the body, but it was horribly mutilated. The eyes had been gauged out, the tongue and ears removed, and then shockingly, flesh was torn away from the neck and face, making the person’s face completely undetectable.

It Was Like A Puzzle… A Jigsaw Puzzle

Media would soon coin the phrase ‘Jigsaw Killer,’ since detectives were seemingly finding the human pieces that fit together in this very gruesome puzzle. Yet another body part, this time the right leg, would be found on April 7, about a week after the head. And while the body would fit together, police still couldn’t determine who the poor soul whose body had been so awfully dismembered was.
