Never Pour Soy Sauce Over Rice
Almost all Japanese or sushi restaurants around the world provide small soy sauce dishes during meals, yet people tend to be impatient and prefer to pour their soy sauce directly on their rice. In Japan, this should never be done. Always put the soy sauce in the dish provided and use your chopsticks to dip your food into the sauce dish instead.
