Never Raise Your Voice In Public Places

When in public, and probably even in private, Japanese tend to be a rather relaxed bunch. If you are riding public transportation, or are just out in public, don’t expect to hear anyone being noisy or loud, as they refrain from raising their voices when deemed unnecessary. Be sure to follow the same rules and never raise your voice in public or when speaking on your mobile phone, it’s regarded as rude and disrespectful to others.
