Looking For Clues
Zaragoza had visited Krebs around 24 times since becoming his parole officer, and he decided to tell the San Luis Obispo Police Department his thoughts. They had placed the tip on low priority since there was nothing to tie Krebs to the crimes at the time. Zaragoza explained, “At that time, they were getting hundreds of leads per day. And they’re going to go through every lead. Because you have to – that’s just the way it’s got to be done.”
