Another time, Kate had said that she had given Johnny some gift cards to a store, along with some water, so that he could buy stuff that he needed. He had then told her how he was excited to show it to the other homeless friends he ‘lived’ with, so he could share with them. Kate said, “If those 2 statements alone do not give you a glimpse of the good heart this man has, I’m not sure anything will.”
