Returning The Favor
Along with her boyfriend, Mark D’Amico, from that evening onwards, Kate would go back not only to return the $20 that Johnny had so selflessly given to her, but to also bring him toiletries, food and gift cards for him to use. They also saw the place that Johnny was living, and they wanted to understand what had happened to someone who was obviously such a good man, and how he had ended up homeless.
