It was back in April 27, 2015, when Capt. Cudd was just 1 out of 239 that would join the EFMB testing for that particular competition. The army had even come out with a statement claiming since only 17% pass, therefore “making the EFMB one of the most coveted honors in Army medicine.”

Cudd knew that if she wanted to become part of the coveted 17%, she needed to prepare for the test in whatever way she could. While in Fort Knox, she underwent 4 training courses, learning about land navigation, as well as dealing with specific military equipment like rifles, and taking military radios apart and putting them back together again. And that wasn’t all.
