One of the most difficult portions of the test was a 12-mile hike that needed to be done in full military gear. And if that wasn’t hard enough, competitors also needed to hold on to their weapons at all times, while wearing 35-pounds of gear in her rucksack at the same time.
Completing 12 Miles Before
According to Cudd, “By the time I got there, believe it or not, I had done about 12 miles three times. When you’re already tired and you’ve already been at the field for 10 days and you’re a little bit dehydrated, it makes a difference.” She also claimed that all ‘that muscle memory helped ease her into the testing.’
