Never Saw His Dad Again

“We were leaving for a vacation the next day. I spent the entire trip silent as a church mouse. I, quite literally, had nothing to say. I knew she would hate whatever I said, so I went mute. When I got back home with my mom, I told my dad what happened and he called me a liar. I haven’t seen or spoken to him since then.
