Nothing She Could Do

“The boy would be in so much pain in class that he would have to be taken out of class because he couldn’t stop yelling. He yelled so much that the stitches in his mouth ripped. I asked my dad’s girlfriend about the student’s situation, and she told me that she did report it, but for some reason or another, the mother still had custody of her son. She didn’t go into it much and acted as though it wasn’t something she wanted to talk about, so I didn’t ask further questions.”
