While Pastor Warmath was aware that the wedding couldn’t be ‘legal’ since they didn’t secure an actual marriage license, he still wanted to help Lydia be able to get her wish. He shared, “I ensured both families that I knew the days and weeks ahead would be very difficult, and I wanted to be available to provide any ministry or comfort that I could.”

Too Weak To Walk The Whole Way

Lydia was too weak already to be able to walk the entire way to where her wedding would take place. It was held on the 10th floor of the family room of the El Paso Children’s Hospital, with a handful and family, friends and hospital staff as witnesses.
