Removing Her Kidney

Lydia’s medical team would tell the family that they needed to remove her kidney, so that it would give her the best survival rate. And that’s just what they did, praying that she would finally be in the clear. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and Lydia and her thankful family would believe that she was finally on her way to being cancer free.

In spite of her sickness, she was able to graduate from the Rio Grande Preparatory Institute. Believing she was finally cancer free, she would go on to live her life, praying that she could just go back to being a regular teenager.
