She Had Cancer

Unbelievably, at just 15-years of age, Lydia would find out that she had cancer. And as if this wasn’t bad enough, it was kidney cancer, which was quite rare for younger folk. Then her diagnosis would only go from bad to worse.

It Was Spreading

Sadly for Lydia, the cancer was continuously spreading. It had moved from her kidneys to her lymph nodes and her intestines. The doctors knew they needed to do something drastic to save her life. So she and her family agreed to follow the medical route the doctors would lead them on.
