11. Madina, Russia, 2013
Until the age of 3, Madina lived primarily in the company of dogs. Reportedly, she was abandoned by her father and her mother was an alcoholic. When she was found by social workers in 2013, she was walking on all fours and growling like a dog.
Despite all she’s been through, doctors proclaim that Madina is both mentally and physically healthy. Once she develops language skills, she is expected to live a normal life.
