20. Lyokha The Wolf Boy, Moscow, 2007
In December 2007, Russian authorities brought in a boy who looked to be about ten years old but may have actually been older. This was because he had been living with wolves, didn’t appear to speak any Russian, and exhibited wolf-like behavior.
Reportedly, villagers had found him living in a lair made from leaves to insulate him from the freezing temperatures. After the authorities brought him in, they gave him a shower and cut his nails. He escaped from the facility within 24 hours, however, and hasn’t been heard from since.
