Tours are given of the front of the vaults, but pretty much everything else is off-limits. Some suspect that the reason the LDS church is so willing to invest time, money, and other resource into constructing such a highly-secure underground vault is so Mormon believers can collect records of the deceased and posthumously baptize as many dead people as possible.
