Barred from the world
When Gypsy turned 19, she still believed she was 15. Although she was helpless and constantly in her mother’s care and watchful eyes, she managed to keep some secrets of her own: she secretly started an online relationship with a 35-year-old man who she met at a science fiction convention. She even got as far as meeting the man in person at a hotel and almost got away with it, until Dee Dee bust into the room where they met. When they got home, Dee Dee smashed the family computer with a hammer and forbade Gypsy from using the new one.
