Fled on foot
Then, on June 14, 2015, Nick arrived at the Blanchardes’ home in Missiouri. Gypsy stayed in another room while Nick stabbed Dee Dee to death. Then, they proceeded to steal $4,400 from the safe Dee Dee kept, and fled out of town. But this time, Gyspy fled on foot – finally free – with her boyfriend, leaving behind her wheelchair and the rest of the things that her mother used to keep her from going away. Meanwhile, Nick mailed the knife he used to kill Dee Dee to himself in Wisconsin to avoid being caught.
