Star-Nosed Mole

Star-Nosed Mole

The star-nosed mole is a small mole found in wet low areas of eastern Canada and the northeastern United States. It is easily identified by the 11 pairs of pink fleshy appendages ringing its snout, which is used as a touch organ with more than 25,000- minute sensory receptors, known as Eimer’s organs, with which this hamster-sized mole feels its way around.

Introducing, the blackest chicken in the world! It’s so black they named it Ayam (Indonesian for “chicken”) Cemani (Javanese for “completely black”). The Ayam Cemani is a rare breed of chicken found only in Indonesia. It’s so unique there’s probably nothing else like it anywhere. It’s completely black from its skin to its meat, bones, and organs. Some claim its blood is also black, it’s actually not, although it’s extremely dark red. The Ayam Cemani is extremely rare that just one of these chickens will set you back between $1,999 and $2,500.
