Some Days Were Worse Than Others

Laurin admitted, “It was looking grim, to be honest. [There] were days when I wasn’t sure I was going to make it to my wedding day.” She also shared “I had no idea what I was going to feel like on my wedding day.”

Clinical Trial

Amazingly, while she was fixing the wedding, Laurin would find out some exciting news. She had been approved to do a clinical trial in North Carolina, one that would hopefully give her a better chance of being present, truly present, at her wedding. Laurin revealed that a good friend, who was also a wedding planner, stepped in to help her with the planning. “I could focus on getting the clinical trial (which started in February) and didn’t have to worry about the little details. The doctor said he would work with us to feel my best on the wedding day.”
