The Trial Was Working

As Laurin underwent the trial treatments, she would also get scanned to see how the meds were working. Incredibly, the scans would show that the tumors were actually shrinking. It would seem like Laurin would not only reach her wedding day, but she would be able to celebrate all of it with family and loved ones.

The Wedding Day

Finally, March 24, the long awaited day of their wedding, had finally come. Laurin explained, “It was an emotional day for me. In the morning, I thought ‘Heck, I made it to the wedding day. Holy cow, it’s here. I’m going to walk down the aisle and marry the man of my dreams and dance the night away.” And in a sweet gesture, her brother was the one to walk her down the aisle and give her away.
