Double Mastectomy

Wistfully, Laurin was scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy in a few weeks to remove the cancer from her body. And while this might have scared off someone from wanting to hang around, Michael would prove that he was in it for the long haul, staying with her every step of the way.

He Was A Special Guy

Not only was Michael showing Laurin just how amazing he was, but he was so ready to begin a real relationship with her. Laurin explained how she had come out of surgery and Michael was in her room with ibuprofen and flowers. She shared, “I come home from a double mastectomy, and he’s in my room – can’t wait to give me a hug, can’t wait to kiss me. He was a special guy.”
